Topos Retreat is a writers’, musicians’ and artists’ retreat in a small wine village in Cyprus, Vasa Koilaniou (Βάσα Κοιλανίου/pronounced ‘Vássa Keelaníou’; commonly referred to as ‘Vasa’).
When joining Topos for a retreat, you can expect to stay in beautiful rooms that combine traditional architecture with all modern amenities (including en-suite bathrooms, AC, internet, coffee/tea-making facilities, etc.). We take pride in the rooms’ high level of cleanliness and maintenance, as well as in the tranquillity of our surroundings.
A village of approximately 150 inhabitants at 750 metres above sea level, Vasa is known for its lush vineyards, its delicious food and locally produced wine, as well as its beautiful traditional architecture.
Vasa’s size and small number of inhabitants belies its culinary expertise. The village features three tavernas (Pyrkos, Palati, and Ariadni), as well as three coffeeshops and a bakery that produces a local type of bread made with the addition of chickpea flour (arkaténa).
